OFFICER DOWN/RESCUE TRAINING
Training Staff from the Baltimore County Police Department put on an Officer Down/Rescue Training Program at the Adams County 911 Center facility attended by Deputies and supervisors of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. This scenario-based training was conducted under both daylight and night-time conditions.
During these exercises, an “Officer Down” situation was staged requiring that responding Deputies and Officers from other jurisdictions properly respond and react to the scenario (positioning of vehicles, safety measures, rescue coordination, controlling the situations while getting the downed officer out of harm’s way and to medical assistance.)
