On July 12, 2018 the Adams County Warrant Unit received an arrest warrant for a Marcus Hoke. The warrant team began to follow up numerous leads in an attempt to apprehend Hoke. During this time they had developed information that Hoke was to be in possession of a firearm. On August 15, 2018 the warrant team had received a tip that Hoke was to be at 50 Valley View Drive in Union Township, Adams County. It was also confirmed that Hoke did have a handgun in his possession. The Adams County Warrant Team had coordinated assistance from Pennsylvania State Police, Littlestown Borough Police, McSherrystown Borough Police and Bonneauville Police. A perimeter was set up at that location. Final confirmation came that Hoke was inside the residence. A tactical entry utilizing a ballistic shield was made into the residence. Hoke was located hiding in the basement. He was then arrested on the outstanding warrants and taken into custody after a brief period of non-compliance. The firearm was retrieved and confirmed stolen out of Gettysburg Borough Police Department. The warrants were for a Probation Violation, Criminal Warrant for Simple Possession, and a Contempt warrant for failure to pay. An investigation is ongoing.
